Crispy Brussel Sprouts - air fryer recipe

Time: 20 min

Serving size: snack for 4

Ingredients

Veggies: 1 pack of broccolini & 3 cups mini brussel sprouts

Spices: thyme, paprika, cayenne, turmeric, dried parsley, dried basil, garlic powder, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, parmigiano reggiano, fresh basil (ground cumin optional)

Sauces: ketchup, garlic aioli mustard, hot honey (3 tbsp honey, 2 tsp sriracha, pinch of lemon juice, red pepper flakes)

  1. Wash & cut mini brussel sprouts in half.

  2. Wash and cut broccolini into smaller pieces.

  3. Put water + salt to boil to steam the broccolini.

Spices

  1. Cover brussel with around 1/8 cup olive oil.

  2. Season properly. Add 1/2 -1 tsp of each of the spices listed above.(More cayenne for more spice)

  3. Add a splash of lemon juice & salt to taste.

Air fry

  1. Add in air fryer. 400 degrees for 5 min, flip & repeat. Bigger chunks might need more time to get crispy.

  2. Once water has boiled, add broccolini to steamer. Steam for 3 min - until soft.

Assemble

  1. Add a dash of lemon juice, salt, & black pepper to the boccolini.

  2. Hot Honey (mix ingredients together, microwave for 10 seconds)

  3. Plate the veggies & top with freshly grated parmigiano reggiano & chiffonade basil.

  4. Drizzle the hot honey straight from the microwave on the brussel sprouts, or dip the brussel sprouts in the mixture. Serve with ketchup & mustard as well.
