Creamy White Sauce Pasta

Serving Size: 3

Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

1 tbsp olive oil, 1 tbsp butter, 2 minced/roasted garlic cloves

1 cup milk, 3/4 cup heavy cream, 1/4 cup pasta water,

1/2 tsp salt (+ more to taste), black pepper, ~1/2 tsp thyme, 1/2 tsp parsley, red pepper flakes, fresh basil

1/4 cup grated parmigiano reggiano

~2 tbsp Wondra AP flour to thicken

Sauce

  1. Boil water with salt & add noodles.

  2. In a separate pan, add the olive oil, butter, fresh basil + stems, red pepper flakes, & minced garlic on med heat.

  3. Once melted, add in the heavy cream & stir.

  4. Let It simmer, add in the milk & Parmigiano, and stir.

    1. Add AP Wondra FLour to thicken. Start with 1 tbsp.

  5. Then add in the spices + salt and bring to a simmer for 5 minutes. (salt to taste)

  6. Stir occasionally.

Assemble

  1. Once the pasta has boiled, add it to the sauce with the pasta water.

  2. Let the pasta finish cooking in the sauce.

  3. Garnish with fresh basil & parmigiano reggiano, & enjoy.

Notes:

Important to let the cream bubble & simmer.

If you use more heavy cream - make sure to use more pasta water

If you want to use more milk - add Wondra AP Flour to thicken. start with 1 tbsp and increase to match the thickness you want.
