Creamy Asapragus

Serving Size: 1

Time: 20 min

Ingredients:

Creamy Sauce: 1 tbsp butter, 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper, 1 minced garlic clove, 1/2 + cup heavy cream, pasta water, 1/2 cup steamed asparagus, salt to taste, 1/4 cup parmigiano reggiano

The creamy sauce would be great with sauteed mushrooms as well.

  1. Boil water in a steamer pot with salt. Cut off the ends of the asparagus & steam for 5 min until light green. Cut into 2-inch pieces once cooled & drizzle with lemon juice.

  2. Add in the butter, garlic, & crushed red pepper. (mushrooms optional)

  3. Let It cook off for 1-2 min on medium heat & add the heavy cream + asparagus + Parmigiano + salt to taste.

  4. Let It simmer for 4-5 minutes.

  5. Add in the noodles & pasta water once cooked.

  6. Let It simmer for 2 min & serve.

Imp to let the heavy cream bubble & simmer

Plate up, top with freshly grated parmigiano reggiano, & enjoy.
